As I originally came from a background as technician/show caller in (musical) theatre, I learned a lot from (technical) directors, actors and designers and how they made their visions come to life. Surrounded by such inspirational people, it’s no wonder I also wished to create stuff myself. Photography was already a big hobby of mine and therefore a logical step to specialise in.

 

Combining my full-time theatre job with a parttime BA at the Photo Academy in Amsterdam turned out to be the perfect match: it allowed me to portray many different (famous) artists for my assignments. I graduated in 2014 with a specialization in portraits and have since pursued photography and film projects. 

 

My never-ending curiosity in what moves people often hits the sweet spot within documentary, commercial and fashion stories – analog or digital, whatever fits the job best. This mixture is what makes my work and style come together.
